When someone asks us for a recommendation for a special meal in Bermuda, there are a few restaurants that are always top of mind. We're thinking of spots that have a great atmosphere, friendly staff and, most importantly, consistently phenomenal food. Bolero Brasserie, most definitely, is one of these spots. Loved by locals and visitors alike, Bolero's inspired menu now changes weekly, keeping things fresh and ensuring that the only thing your visits will have in common is a truly fantastic meal.
Our recent meal at Bolero was, of course, no exception.

Since 1932, the Swizzle Inn has been welcoming guests (first-timers and repeat visitors) with fresh-made food and their infamous jugs of Rum Swizzle. For anyone not in the know, Swizzle is a cocktail made from a combination of rum and fruit juices and is notorious for going down easy, and leaving you...happy. The perfect "welcome back/home", if you will. There are many variations on the Island - everyone has their own take - but the most famous of the Swizzles is, without a doubt, found at the Swizzle Inn. More on the Swizzle later.
There has been a buzz among Bermuda food lovers since May 27th 2015, when Chef Marcus Samuelsson’s restaurant, Marcus', opened at the Hamilton Princess and Beach Club. Based on our recent Marcus’ experience, the buzz is sure NOT to quiet down anytime soon. To sum up our visit quite simply: from now on, this is the only food we want to eat.
