When someone asks us for a recommendation for a special meal in Bermuda, there are a few restaurants that are always top of mind. We're thinking of spots that have a great atmosphere, friendly staff and, most importantly, consistently phenomenal food. Bolero Brasserie, most definitely, is one of these spots. Loved by locals and visitors alike, Bolero's inspired menu now changes weekly, keeping things fresh and ensuring that the only thing your visits will have in common is a truly fantastic meal.
Our recent meal at Bolero was, of course, no exception.

It is often said that the success of a business comes down to location, location, location. In the case of Breezes Restaurant at Cambridge Beaches...
WHAT A LOCATION!!!! If someone were to claim that the old Bermuda classic “Bermuda is Another World” was written while sitting at Breezes (if not for the fact that the song was written a more than half a century ago), it would be totally believable. Restaurant: Muse
Training: Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, Orlando, Florida Degree: Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts, Magna Cum Laude Where are you from? Westmoreland, Jamaica How long have you been in Bermuda? 15 years How long have you been a chef? 20 years Colossal. Rosa’s threw their hat into the Bermuda’s Best Fish Sandwich Competition ring and their entry can simply be described as COLOSSAL.
Specially made for the competition, we had a bit of a preview as it was included in the menu line up at a little celebration at Rosas the previous week. Though a fish sandwich wasn't in the plan, we're not ones to resist an opportunity to sample one that is vying for the title of “Best in Bermuda”, And the truth is, there was some ahem... strong encouragement to try it. Okey dokey. Raisin bread toast it is. If you take a scroll through the pages showing our Best Bermuda Fish Sandwich Competition experiences, you’ll see no two sandwiches look alike. This brings us to this latest dining adventure because it’s safe to say that there is not another sandwich like the one that you can get from the Seaside Grill.
On a side note, we thought we were sandwiched out and didn’t have anything else to add but the feeling was we couldn’t let the competition go much further without sampling the Seaside offering. Here’s why. Hi…we are food bloggers for Bite of Bermuda and we’re about to become addicted to the fish sandwiches at Woody’s!
And we are NOT ASHAMED. If you’re not in the know, let us fill you in; Woody’s has a reputation for their fish sandwich that precedes the Bermuda’s Best Fish Sandwich competition, and it is well earned. Unlike some of the competitors, this sandwich was not created, modified or upgraded for the competition. This is a Woody’s fish sandwich in its all-year-round glory! The best part about that little fact is you have plenty of time to get one of these sandwiches (but our advice is GET ONE NOW!). Continuing on in our quest for Bermuda's Best Fish Sandwich, the team headed west on Sunday afternoon and found our next contender in the stunning setting at Breezes at Cambridge Beaches. We had been invited by Executive Chef Keith DeShields some time ago, and decided that his entry into the competition was the perfect excuse (not that we really needed one) to sample the fare at what has to be one of Bermuda's most beautiful spots for a meal.
